The Urban Microclimate as Artefact. Reassessing Climate and Culture Studies in Architecture and Anthropology
Any research on microclimates must start by questioning the nonmateriality of microclimates by identifying their material aspects, but without once again succumbing to the primacy of the visual. In architecture, materiality is typically equated with visuality; this is a misleading equation, since microclimates involve other human senses.
